Terms of Service

Last updated: May 26, 2026

Draft. This is a starting-point Terms of Service. Before public launch, it needs review by an attorney familiar with consumer SaaS and the relevant subscription / app-store rules.

The short version

Coparently is a tool to help two co-parents share a calendar, expenses, and the basics of raising your kids. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. Be excellent to each other. We'll do our best to keep the service running.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Coparently (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

We may update these Terms occasionally. We'll notify you of material changes before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.

2. Who can use Coparently

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live).
  • Provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • Be authorized to enter contracts where you live.
  • Not be barred from using software services under U.S. or other applicable law.

Children don't have their own accounts. Adults use the Service on behalf of their family.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised — email support@coparently.co.

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account. Account deletion is permanent.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Coparently is offered as a paid subscription. New families get a 30-day free trial with full feature access. After the trial, a subscription is required to continue using premium features (messaging, photos, AI tools, calendar integrations, etc.).

Price: $7.99 USD/month or $59.99 USD/year per family. One subscription covers both guardians in your family.

Billing: subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You'll be charged via the payment method you provided at signup (Stripe for web, Apple or Google for in-app purchases).

Cancellation: you can cancel anytime from Account → Subscription. Your access continues through the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.

If you don't subscribeafter the trial: your family stays in your account in a read-only mode. You won't lose history — just access to premium features.

Price changes: we'll notify you at least 30 days before any price increase affects your subscription.

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
  • Send harassing, threatening, or abusive messages through the Service. We may terminate accounts used for harassment.
  • Upload content you don't have the right to share, including content infringing copyright, trademarks, or other rights.
  • Try to access another user's account, data, or family without authorization.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in ways that interfere with normal use by other users.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload (messages, photos, schedules, expenses, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content as necessary to provide the Service to you and your co-parent.

You're responsible for your content. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything that violates another person's privacy or rights.

8. Our content

The Coparently name, logo, and software are our property. These Terms don't grant you any rights to use them other than to access the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, especially the acceptable-use rules. Where possible, we'll give you notice and a chance to correct the issue first.

11. Limitation of liability

Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification
